Hello,

I'm 21 years old volunteer firefighter (exactly firewoman :P ) from Hungary. Some of you may recognise me from ratmania.hu.
I'm happy slave of my second hooded rat, Bogyó. :) But I'm interested in almost every kind of animals from insects to huge mammals. According to my long-term dream I would like to have as many animals as I can look after, mainly horses, dogs and of course rats rat rats (saint)
Nowadays I'm studying fire safety and fire engineering on the uni in Budapest. Don't sleep, don't eat. So the average studentlife. After bsc decree I would like apply for a place on fire safety engineering Msc at University Of Edinburgh.
I wish you could know the brotherhood and self-satisfaction of helping
save a life or preserving someone's property, or being able to be there in time of crisis, or creating order from total chaos.

Hello,

Thanks a lot! :)

I took some pics about her cage. She is a lovely ratbag anyway. :D I (h) her! She bites everything and everybody, but after more than two months she allowed me to stroke her tail. (saint) I hope she'll be as mild as my former rat, Cica was. :)

I love her, even I haven't met her yet. (h) It was a narrow "victory", because 7 applicants and six babies. I'm very grateful to Darkdog, because she finally renounced to be a mom.
Now I'm thinking of the newcomer's name... Can't decide... :?
1. Anuket (goddess of Nile)
2. Freya (celtic goddess of prolificacy or fertility or whatever :D)
3. Izis (queen of goddesses)
4. Nut (goddess of sky or nut like nut :D)
5. Cara (friend in Irish)
6. Nancy (no idea where it came, but sounds good to me)
Bogyó loves her sputnik really, but she prefers distuction. (h) Today I went home after 3 days, gave her snack, and changed the paper bedding in her barknest. Then I was listening to the "World War II. in 2 minutes" show by Bogyó and when I dared to look at her nest I saw that she dragged most of the paper bedding out, and she was sitting in the sputnik looking very satisfied. (h) She got cold a few days ago, and I can't do anything, because she pulls out everything...

Could someone tell me where I could find topics on petrats, because the tiltes here are bit confusing for a foreigner like me. (rock) :$ Or is it possible to explain me the system of this forum? Because I tried to understand, but somehow it is still confusing me. :C:

Visit my new babyrat

Postby Riam on 2010. Jan 25., Mon 21:24

Yesterday we visited the litter and I found them absolutely wonderful! (h) (in love) Finally I named her Cara, which means friend in Irish. And really... When she was put into my hand, she started bruxing and washing herself (me as well of course). Then she ran up on my chest and fell asleep in my neck. Spent most of the time there. The other girl decided to sleep there as well.
I fell in love with them...
On the left hand side is Cara, the other is Amira her sis: (h) (h)

I was stroking Amira and somehow she managed to move into my hand... She was soooo cute: (h) (h)

I couldn't help Cara out of my hair, she was so comfy there. (in love) And when I gave her back to her mummy, she was trying to get back to me. (in love) (h)
Two weeks and I have my little one right next to me... :)

I brought home my little one today, she is absolutely cute!!! (h) (h) Now she is sleeping in her nest, we had a long journey to home through snow and ice, but seems to be okay. She ate and drank, so probably she'll be okay from now...
She's changed a lot since I last saw her. When I visited her she was a little cute child with no fear, and of course she's grown up and became suspicious a bit, but not as aggressive as Bogyó. I placed her cage next to Bogyó's, but it was no good at all. The little one maybe missing her mummy tried to climb into Bogyó's place while Bogyó puffed herself up like a football, hissed like a cat, and was attacking vigorously Cara... I decided not let them together 'til Cara isn't big enough to hold her ground against Bogyó.
It won't be easy to keep them together because Bogyó seems to be genetically neurotic and aggressive. Anyway I try to give her as much comfortable home as I can afford. And I promise I would never ever buy from an animal shop again... ;(

Sorry for the poor quality, but I took the pic with phone.
