Scientific Name: Phodopus sungorus

Other names: Russian Dwarf Hamster, Dwarf Hamster, Winter White Russian Hamster, Siberian or Djungarian hamster

Description: Winter whites are generally a dark brown with a black dorsal stripe and pale/white arches on the sides of its body, they are roughly 10-12cm's in length with small ears and a short tail.

Variations: There are 3 main colours found in Winter Whites, Normal, Sapphire (a blue-ish colour) and Pearl (White)

just thought I'd add pictures of a merle, the only other colour to be found in non-hybrid WW's.
I don't think that it is a recognised colour yet mind...

Any other colours than the above (e.g mandarins, mushrooms, red eyed oranges, blacks and mottleds to name a few) will be campbell/WW hybrids which are prone to all manner of problems.
