Hi Ken

Nice name :nw: they all liked it (giggle) .

Below is picture of Magnum.

He is going on a seven hour journey to Inverness on Sunday. He is going to live in a big house with a massive garden that backs onto a forest. We are going to meet them halfway so hopefully will be less stressful on Magnum.

Magnum is going to a fantastic home with the added advantage that she is going to keep in touch so we can see and hear ow Magnum is doing.

Journey went well to Scotland.

The new owners ae really lovely people and fell in love with Magnum straight away.

I think the lady had a tear in her eyes when she saw him.

They bought Catherine my daughter a really lovely watch as a thankyou for spending so much time with Magnum and helping to socialise him.

Magnum for his part travelled well with no problems. On meeting new owners he greeted them with a large lick (thumbup) and made a fuss.

We met in a Hotel Car Park and the owners let us in with the pup so we could have a chat and coffee. Everybody fell in love with Magnum and he got plenty of cuddles and kisses. Magnum just took it all in his stride which I think impressed his new mum and dad.

Leaving Magnum was a little upsetting but we know he has gone to the best home possible.

We got a phone call when he got home to say he was fine. An e mail this morning to say he was fine and had been clean since they got him and a promise to keep us informed of how he is doing (thumbup)

Oh and we got an invite for a weekend to go and see Magnum (thumbup) in the spring or summer, which would be nice.

Will post some pics of the remaining pups later.

Thanks Julie

We think they are stunning too but thought we were biased (giggle) .

Hi Ken

The top pup is Dexter and the last pup is Morgan.

These are just names that Catherine has given them :)

The middle pup is Toby which Catherine is wanting to keep

She is absolutely in love with him (h)

Well I have to say a BIG thanks to Debs, Neil & family for doing such a wonderful job with the pups - I met Dexter & Morgan today & Dexter decided he would like to come live in this madhouse (giggle)

He is not sure of Dill the giant dog yet, but slowly realising he is NOT going to eat him alive, but does poop his pants whenever Dill barks at something (LOL) (LOL) Dex & Betty Boston have not really paid much attention to each other so I am sure they will get along just fine..........and he is very intrigued with the skunks :Y:

So far he has pooped & peed outside every time without any prompting - I just simply left the back door open into the garden & out he went. He almost sits on command every time & is thus far (early days yet) being a very well behaved pup. I guess tonight will be a good test to see how quickly he settles in........shall leave him in the kitchen with the other 2, with dog crate for security if he wants it........although I bet Betty nips in & sleeps in his bed as she LOVES sleeping in crates (strange dog lol).

I was going to call him Criollo & Rollo for short - Criollo is one of the main beans used for making chocolate & Rolo is obviously a Cadburys product made of choccy & toffee - just like his colouring, choc & tan. However, the name Dexter seems to have stuck & to be honest I think it suits him much better than Rolo. Thus he is officially called "Dexter Chitto Nikan Williams". I am sure the kids will be pleased he is keeping his name they gave him (thumbup)

I have taken a few photos but they are not the best & will try get some more soon.

Hi Ken

Thankyou for having Dexter and giving him a lovely home. Catherine sends big cuddles for keeping the name Dexter (in love) .

Hope he is behaving himself and is not showing us up (giggle) .

The photo's are great but we especially like the 2nd and 3rd photo's :nw: .

Hope Dexter hasn't started ankle biting Dill just to let him know he is there.

Has he met Kasa and if so what does he think of her. He might get a slightly different recption than the one he gets off Kucki (giggle) .

Thanks again

Well he has been pretty much a good boy so far, has peed & pooped outdoors all bar a couple of hiccups this morning - but that was in the kitchen on the lino, since then its all been outside with plety of encouragement & constant watching (giggle) he did not settle last night & was howling at 1am  and knowing what a moaner my neighbour is, i gave in & let him come into the bedroom. He ended up sleeping next to me all night & did not let me move without him moving & staying attached to my side bless him. He woke up around 3am & needed a pee, but went back to sleep once having been outside & then did not surface till almost 8am..........when it was actually me getting up :-o (giggle) . I think once he gets used to Dill & Betty he will settle in the kitchen with them, but right now he needs some extra reassurance & company ;) . He is HONOURED as I NEVER usually give in & let them cry themselves to sleep..........will have to leave that until my neighbour is on a sleepover at work (giggle) (giggle)

He & Dill are still wary of each other, but did fall asleep on the sofa with Dex using Dills leg as a pillow.......so it wont be long before they all play together.

Took him out for his first proper walk today & he was somewhat overwhelmed - might be due to the fact he was out with 1 Dill, Betty, Lily the GSD, Lily the Westie & Diesel a huge Husky  I had to carry him half way round as he got very nervous when the big dogs kept running towards him. Once we got back to the car I then left Dill & Betty & took him a walk around the lake - he was EXCELLENT & walked very well considering its the first time :no1: he also got to meet the other dog owners & had loads of fuss...........one of them (Alan) has black & tan Dobie that Dex also got to meet. Alan & the others think he is stunning & Alan said he wished he had been with me because he would probably have gone home with Morgan (LOL)

He is eating LOADS (but not my feet, shoes or Dills ankles yet (giggle) ) but has decided he dont like the puppy food & the adult one the other 2 eat is far more tasty............leaving none for Dill & Betty ;) . Got hims some new toys today as he is now settling in enough to get more bouncy & playfull........but cant work out why Kucki keeps growling & barking at him    :x_evil:

This morning I microchipped him & then logged on to do the change of ownership thing...........so if he gets lost he can find his way home (thumbup) Just now got to sort out full insurance for him.

Shall have to try & get some more photos when we are out walking later this week - perhaps on Wednesday when I have my m8 Helen with me, as it will be easier :V:

(giggle) (giggle) (giggle) yeah & so does Neil ;) I guess we should have known better than let you do the catering when Jay was not around  Mind you I liked it so much & went back & bought some more today....but this time the dogs got it as originally intended :P

I am smitten with Dexter & he is so loving.........he has become my new shadow bless him. Mind you, everyone who meets him thinks he is stunning, so he is getting lots of cuddles of people :no1: Tonight a friend & her son came round, so Dex had lots of playtime running around with the lad & he is now fast asleep on the sofa (thumbup)

Today we made progress & he is playing more with his toys & has even been attempting to integrate with Dill & Betty.........much to the annoyance of Betty as he keeps nipping her stumpy tail (LOL)
We also has a set back because while out walking across a field another larger dog came running full pelt at Dex, hit him side on & bowled him over - poor we Dex was yelping & crying & in total shock. Sadly he is now very wary of other dogs when out on the lead & even freezes if he sees people walking towards him in the distance :-o Hopefully his confidence will come back over time, especially when puppy classes start on the 1st March.

After walking the dogs today I felt a bit off colour so sat down with a coffee & cake.........just about remember finishing them but don't remember falling asleep - woke up 6.30pm on the sofa with Dex's head on my shoulder (His fave place to sleep (h) (h) (h) ), Dill at the side of me & Betty lying across my legs :$ (giggle) (giggle)

The dog meat ( actually ham bought as atreat for the dogs ) was lovely, just been barking slightly since I ate it.

Pouchie and Debra were laughing there heads off by the way.

Glad you love Dexter and so happy he is settling.

Give him a day or two and I am sure he will be fine after the episode with the other dog.

I was actually offered a blue Staffy as a swap yesterday (headbang) (headbang) for one of the pups. What is it with people ?.

Looking forward to regular updates (thumbup)

Another day of adventure for Dexter today (thumbup)

We were at a Parrot Show all day & then afterwards went back to my friends farm to meet Effy a 3yr old Weimaraner who is very big & bouncy lol. Was unsure how Dex would react after his knock earlier in the week - thankfully hen was only a tad wary & soon got running around & OFF the lead for the first time (thumbup) So this afternoon he was running around a paddock off the lead with a Weimaraner a Great Dane & a Boston terrier & was LOVING IT :Y: :Y: :Y: Just got to work on his recall now lol

He is right this minute teasing kasacoon (giggle) (giggle)

Dex went to his first puppy class tonight (giggle) Such a big boy barking bravely at all the other dogs outside the hall but the moment he was in the hall he hid under the chair I was sat on :X_lol: :X_lol: :X_lol: :X_lol:

I was very proud of him though as he soon settled down & sat quietly watching the others going through their paces until his turn - mind you he was sat staring at the 2 Great Dane sisters in the class..........who were HUGE & made Dillian look small :-o

When our time came for us to walk to heel up & down the hall he was very good, did more or less as I asked & it was more ME who got told off (giggle) I was not using my voice strongly enough, turned to quickly after the commands (like a split nano second after saying turn :$ ) & his lead was too short (overall length not the way I was holding it). I did explain I had a training lead but a certain Dill the Dog had decided that's what he wanted for tea :@ :@ :@ . So Dex got top marks & the trainer said I did pretty well but asked if I have ever done any dog training before - NOPE not 1 single lesson - so I then got praised for learning quickly. So we both did pretty well for the 1st night :no1: The trainer thinks Dex could do very well over the coming weeks & was happy to carry on walking him with his collar & no need for a slip collar or training collar just yet - thinks they might be useful when doing more complicated work.

To say I was proud of him would be an understatement (thumbup) (thumbup)

Hi Ken

Thanks for the photo's they are lovely and very much appreciated (thumbup)

Dex has grown quite a bit. In one of the photos he is stood next to Dill ( who is biggggggggggg ) and he looks to be getiing on for half Dills size.

He looks very happy and love the photo's of them asleep together (in love) .

I will have to take some photo's of Koda & Kira the parents and also Tippy the special needs pup and Toby our brown pup. Kira is now looking stunning again after having the pups. She has put all her weight back on and her coat looks gorgeous again.

Tippy the pup was starved of oxygen when being born and was the one that Jacqui the vet was going to put to sleep. Tippy doesn't really associate with the other dogs other than a bit of rough and tumble. He has never barked once in his life. He has difficulty with stairs but is the most loving dog. He is always by my side wherever I go and if sat he is always in contact with me, even if its his head on my knee. Usually though he is layed on me :) .

Both pups are starting training classes next week to start getting them better trained. They can sit, stay, say please etc but need help with their walking on a lead and a few other bits.

Best Wishes

Neil & Debra

Gosh how he has grown!
Sprite has grown a bit but with her being a toy dog it's like she was small, she is small and she will forever be small so it's not so obvious (giggle) .
Shame we do not all live closer to one annother as they could all go to puppy classes together.

Some how I think if us lot all got together we would have been ousted from the classes very quickly (giggle) (giggle)

Dex has 3 classes left in this current training course & other than not liking the heel work he is doing quite well - recall is slow but happens, sit happens 90% of the time & he is almost lying DOWN on command (just takes a gentle push on his shoulders & down he goes (giggle) ). He will sit & stay even when he is being fed although he only does that for his own food, everyone elses is fair game (headbang) . The only negative is he barks at absolutely EVERYTHING!!! :@ and the neighbours keep commenting on the fact they know I have a "new dog" :-o :$ :$ (giggle) (giggle)
