I was about to say "When did you get the3 tiger?" (giggle) (giggle) (giggle)

I guess its probably yet another case of people not reading posts/blogs properly, speed reading & all that, then making ridiculous comments because of what they THINK they read (headbang) (headbang) (headbang) (headbang)

Personally I think your outdoor fox pen is way too small & it should be made twice as long, but with a divider in.............then I can have a holiday home for your mate Kasacoon ;)

I think all of us who keep exotic (others will read wild) animals do come up against people like this all the time - usualy they ake comments through ignorance & dont find out whats truly needed for the animals before commenting. It is ours place & forums like this to prove people wrong - hence the Exotic Awarness days - an ideal chance to show joe public that exotics CAN be good pets IF you do your research & the like, before getting something. Maybe at the next Evesham day you will be in attendance with 2 cute foxes (thumbup)

I could not stop laughing when I read that I have a bengal tiger lol.
(h) Kasacoon. Maybe I should make that extension....though I cannot promis you would get her back (giggle) she's so damn cute!
It would be really cool if I could bring the foxies to the next exotics awareness day especially if it is on my birthday again!

I have been asked by allot of people what Harry and Elspeth sound like so last night I made a sound bite thing.
They make the most amusing sounds, I am sure you will find it entertaining.
(Lets see if I got it right this time lol)

I wonder if their vocalisations will change when they are mature because their little warbling and chirruping noises remind me of babies in the den.

Must be lovely sounds to fall asleep to

I just found out from a guy I talk to with a lovley red fox called Ron that it is called 'Gekkering'.

As head in your video, even gekkering is not always made in fear or aggression, but also, as in this vid, just a way of 'talking' that foxes have, carrying on a conversation! Ron will make the little soft noises to me too, and also the gekkering just to interact with me

I am still glad I made the video for people to hear. Even if I knew it was called gekkering and I told anyone that they would still have no idea what I ment. (giggle)

Yes Pouchie it is a nice thing to fall to sleep to but even nicer to watch. They sort of dance and then cuddle up and fall to sleep.

Tonight I told Harry and Elspeth that they need to go to sleep or Santa will not come. (We had just watched Santa Clause the movie (giggle) .)
Harry was a good little boy and went right off to sleep.

Anyway this is the first video I have bothered to edit.

Also back to writing their blog now I have a camera again. (rock)

Let me know what you think of the video!

I am glad you liked it :) .
I really am lucky to have them, they are amazing. Everyday when I am hugging either of them I have to pinch myself to make sure I am not dreaming (h) .

Last night I took this photo of Elspeth when she was playing at the bottom of my bed, I did not nitice untill now that shes sticking her tongue out (giggle) .

A few weeks ago I was in the pet shop and I spotted a dog food called NatureDiet.
This was by chance as NatureDiet is a wet food and I seldom go down the wet food isle. It stood out as it was in a tray unlike most dog foods and it also had a tag on the shelf saying what the ingredents were.

I was curious and read it and it all looked quite good!:
Minimum 60% Real Meat
All our menus contain a minimum 60% meat content, except Senior/Lite Diet which has a higher vegetable content in order to lower calories.
Certified Holistic Product
All Naturediet menus are certified by the British Association of Holistic Nutrition and Medicine.
May be Fed Warm
Naturediet menus may be fed warm if preferred.
100% Gluten Free
Ideal for dogs who require a gluten free diet or those suffering from skin sensitivity.
Highly Digestible
Containing only natural ingredients, Naturediet menus mirror the dog’s preferred natural diet.
No Artificial Ingredients
No artificial additives, preservatives, colourings or flavourings.
Affordable Quality
The cost of food is the biggest indicator of the quality of ingredients used.
Naturediet produces quality food at the most affordable price

So I started mixing this with their fave ferret food, some blue berrys, some kale and they love it! I mean this is amazing, it is good for them AND they eat it!

They both have always been very active but they have also both gained weight which is great. When I first got them the vets key worry was that Elspeth was very light I did not want to tell anyone so as noone would worry. I knew I could fatten her up and yesterday at her check-up it looks like I have hence the high praises for this food. Also it is not fat she has gained but muscle which is also good news.

My friends use Nature Diet for their dogs because of stomach & skin complaints. Since they switched to this food they have noticed a big change in the dogs, for the better. So much so when they come to visit they pre-order some boxes of Nature diet via me & the warehouse I have access too - apparently it saves them quite a bit of money as a box works out at just under £10.
My dogs also like it but they get it as a treat or when I need to give them medicines as I know they will eat wet food the instant it hits the food bowl (giggle)

Nice to know the foxes are also doing well on it. Maybe when you move to Brum I can come over & meet them one day :nw: (thumbup)

This is brilliant. We sell naturediet at the pet shop and people absolutely swear by it. There is actually one person who does come in and buy it for a fox in her garden. Will have to let people who come into the shop know when they ask which food foxes like and they normally leave with pedigree etc.

Harry and Elspeth love all the flavors, even the fish ones.
They get all moody though if I dont put their greens in with it though (giggle).

This morning I was in the bath, like most other mornings when I do not have to go to uni. It was lovely and warm, I used loads of wild cherry bubble bath and it was so relaxing.

Harry was walking around next to the bath as he is terrified of the Bengal cat who at this point was sitting outside the bathroom door thus, Harry would not leave the room. (This has been our morning routine for about a week now.)

Harry often likes to look in to make sure I have not drowned at that the shampoo has not eaten my head.

So Harry put his paws on the side and looked in, I smiled at him as I assumed he was doing his normal thing but then he suddenly jumped into the bath!

I was totally taken by surprise and curled up at one end of the bath while Harry was smiling away swimming around!
I got out of the bath, wrapped a towel around myself when I called for my other half to look after Harry when I got my video camera.
Harry continued to swim around the bath in circles looking very pleased with himself until the camera beeped when I turnt it on and he jumped out.
I was just so totally amazed that he firstly wanted to have a bath with me and secondly likes to swim!
Really did not expect this.

I am now hugging my wild cherry scented fox who is still chuffed with himself.

So yesterday Harry and Elspeth had an outing to go and see my friend Mario who has an Italian restaurant. They were very excited to be out of the house and in a village. Normally when they leave the house they step straight out into the countryside.

When we got there they were greeted by a waitress who seated us and went to get Mario. The restaurant was empty, we chose to go at this time so as not to freak Harry and Elspeth out. I know how much they like pasta and will stop at nothing to get it so I suppose we also chose this time so as not to worry the humans.

Mario came out of his kitchen and greeted us and then Harry and Elspeth. He had brought some chicken out of the kitchen to give them to show that he is a friend. He chatted to us and petted Harry then returned to the kitchen.

Harry and Elspeth had a bowl of spaghetti and tomato sauce for lunch. You could tell they enjoyed it by the red noses and lips when they raised their faces up to see if there was any more food for them.

The two of them then rested under the table until it was time to leave.
We then went home.

When evening rolled around Elspeth wandered off upstairs and I followed her. She jumped on my dressing table and nosed around. She sniffed my perfumes and body sprays and then went n to sniff all of my make up piece by piece. She seemed to be being a good girl so I left her on the table for a moment when I went to the bathroom. Upon my return she was sitting in her bed time crate with something in her paws. I had no idea what it was but she was chewing it. I climbed into her crate to take it from her and I heard a 'POP!' come from the mystery item and a shocked Elspeth looked up at me with pink all over her lips, nose and whiskers. The item was a lip gloss, a neon pink lip gloss.
My did she look a state but I must admit I have seen humans with less skill in the application of make-up so I should not laugh....But I did!

I went down stairs with Elspeth to show my partner and Harry what a state she was and to my amazement Harry actually helped her groom herself to get it off. Then it occured to me that maybe, just maybe that is why drunk woman cover them selves in lipstick while in the bathroom at night clubs; it must be to attract a mate to groom them!...Okay that is probably not why but it worked for Elspeth!

I felt quite out of place in my living room that evening as the two of them lay in front of the fire place licking one another faces. I did not know if it was rude to look but I did not want to pay no attention to them in case Harry went to get a lip-gloss as well hehe.

Well I must go now, Elspeth is eating one of my slippers with my foot inside!

How cute is that & they have matching ears too (giggle) (giggle)

Dexter & Dill also like to slap when playing.........I am shocked I have not yet had a black eye off Dill coz he also punches & does "high fives" when excited.

Sure looks like foxes & pooch are getting along very nicely - Sprite should take them out walking with her to keep the nasty dogs away ;)

I am really glad they get along, Harry even does better at his training with her around as they learn together.

It is quite funny how the foxes see her. Harry treats her like a play mate where as Elspeth treats her like a fox kit. Elspeth will not play with her and tells Harry off for doing so and she will give Sprite bits of their food (giggle) . I think one day Elspeth will be a good Mum;) .
